Specimen 144 Horn Speakers

The Specimen Horn is my flagship speaker for high fidelity audio playback. It is also ideal for integration into home theater systems. The sonic and physical stature of the Specimen Horns exceed all others, except the mighty Specimen XL horns which are more suited to event, theater, and stadium applications.

The 6.5″ Fostex FE-168EZ driver is beautifully sensitive, making it very well suited for use with our low wattage 2A3 tube amplifier, which can easily drive this fantastic speaker to ample volumes and give a pristine listening experience.

The 144 may be paired with higher watt amplifiers also with great results.

The commanding visual presence of the Specimen Horn 144 makes them a welcome and interesting addition to any decor. They may look timeless but they sound new. Very new.
